Growing Plastic Products Manufacturing Industry in Delhi NCR
True to their nature of having properties that allow plastics to be moulded, extruded, or pressed into any desirable, The word ‘plastic’ has its origins in the Greek word ‘plastikos’ that means ‘fit for moulding’. Traditionally, plastics have been derived from fossil fuels, but these days there are some plastics that have been produced using renewable materials like corn. Plastic material manufacturers find plastics to be an economical raw material to produce, jars, drums, and bottles amongst other things. This has resulted in the end products being affordable and hence have wide acceptance. Plastic products are bad conductor of electricity and have high corrosive resistance, this makes them the first choice of material for many industrial applications. Plastics are stronger and have higher durability as compared to most metals. Exposure to weather and harsh conditions has very little impact on plastics as compared to most metals. This makes plastic drums and plastic jars a choice of materials for storing in the open.
The Indian plastics industry has left the difficult days of the pandemic far behind and is now on the road to high recovery. The government has gone on record saying that it aims to increase the turnover of the plastic industry to Rs 10 lakh crore from present level of 3 lakh crore in the next 5 years.
Currently, Indian Plastic products manufacturers are not only catering to domestic demand but have made favourable inroads into global markets too. It is estimated that in the year 2021-22 Indian manufacturers accounted for US$ 3 billion in exports accounting for a growth of 30 percent over the same period the year before.
